Some nice shots, Lewis. I particularly liked 6577, which could have been taken in the late 50s/early 60s. Engine "fresh off" Crewe, one clean MK1 and a few dirtier ones, It brought back some happy memories.

Regards,

John

Yep, it was really nice to see. Mogul had 'The Midlander' on her, and looked nice double heading with 80072.

Why didn't 42968 run the last train from Llangollen? I was waiting at Berwyn and the black 5 came instead.

Though not grumbling, gives me an excuse to go next Sunday. Smile

2968 was on the last train from Llangollen, the frieght. The Five was on the one before. I photographed both at Llangollen goods Junction.

Methinks LMS2968 you're looking at the TT in the souvenir guide. In the souvenir guide should have been a loose paper timetable with the extra trains on the back of it. You'll see that 42968 should have been on the 1645 from Llangollen. I hope you didnít miss any steam trains

Ah, possibly! But I had to start for home then anyway so for me personally it made no difference.

But I can't then answer your question.

For those who don't know, 42968 will be running with Black 5 44806 over the Bank Holiday weekend.

And repairs to the tender springs sustained during transit. Repositioning of the springs and axle spring weighing i'm lead to believe.

On behalf of Llangollen Railway, we are grateful to the SVR for supplying 42968 on short notice. We enjoyed having 42968 there again!

Thank You. Cool
