42968 was at the rear of the train when I caught the 12.40 from Arley to Bewdley today.

I remember it the first time around, but after seeing it with it's proper tender, this now looks somehow strange…

I think it looks ok although I do know what you mean but it could look worse (with say 46443's tender) A sensible solution when the railway needs every working engine it can get.

Disregarding the fact that these engines never had Stanier tenders I have
always thought that 42968 looked right with a Stanier tender.

Always thought that 8F's and Jubilee's looked horrible with Fowler tenders.

I see that 42968 is providing an Intermediate Footplate Experience tomorrow, when do these trains normally fit into the timetable?

Cheers,
Lewis

If you look at the timetable, trains are scheduled every 45 minutes for most of the day, but there's some "slots" that are empty (11.50am off KR, 2pm departure off BH are the two I can see at a quick glance). The IFE runs in these timetable slots (or are there 2 courses daily?). I believe the courses run off Bewdley.

What time is the Footplate Experience with 43106 running on Sunday, can't seem to see any 'big' time slots?

Cheers,
Lewis
