Not according to the South Devon railways site, they say 3205 should visit us in September subject to running in trials although not for hire elsewhere - http://www.southdevonrailway.org/News-and-Press-Releases/News-2010Jun19.html

Why do we always have to hear about these things on someone else's website?

The SVR really is the master at telling it's own people last.

350 of us £1000 each

Last one from me here on this as it is off topic (if the discussion needs to continue I suggest a new thread) but if every member and shareholder was to donate £100 we would have enough to fund purchase of a fully working engine (with 6 years left on the current ticket) AND funds for the next overhaul. Food for thought maybe?

Same old story the one thorn in the side of the great SVR - Lack of communication. If we could overcome this then we really would be the best on all levels!

From the SVR website
Quote:

No. 3717 - 'City of Truro' - attendance confirmed

No. 5690 - 'Leander' - requested, attendance to be confirmed

No 3205 - Collett 0-6-0 - requested, attendance to be confirmed

Plus - a further guest locomotive to be announced

In addition to these locomotives our home fleet will be in action throughout the weekend.

Is Britannia going to be ready in time for it?

WTT has been finalised and I believe sent to the printers, so shouldn't be too long now...

Does that mean the lineup has now been finalised?

Pretty much, although one diagram is still shown as TBA.

WTTs have returned from the printers.

I've already found out what it is from one of the people who did the WTT, it hasn't worked on the SVR before, but it was the only thing there could find as a similar replacement for Britannia.

Shame Britannia can't make it. I don't intend to start rumours here, but Oliver Cromwell (assuming it's fixed in time?) and Duke of Gloucester immediately spring to mind as being 'similar replacements'. Will just have to wait and see...

Although they have both visited the SVR before...
