This wasn't the move I was expecting, but 7714 was shunted out to allow the unloading of "Prince" from the Ffestiniog Railway today.

Not easy getting photos from outside, but you can see how it was delivered to the site.

I did take a few photos of the 3 service trains, will add them sometime soon.

(Photos of 7714, 4566, 5764, 7812 & D3022 just added)

Called in at The Engine House today and managed a few photos of "Prince".

The 3 photos are amongst a few others taken during the day.

I have saw something on Nat-Pres that Prince will stay at the Engine House for a period of 12 months. It will then move back to Ffestiniog, where a full overhaul will start to get the loco back in steam by 2013.

Yes, also mentions a 12 month stay on the news page of the SVR site.

Did anybody see "Prince" in Dan Cruickshank's Great Railway Journeys, part 1, War Heroes - on Channel 5 this evening?

Indeed - whilst pointing out to nearby family members that it was currently sat at Highley Wink

That's the way to do it!!

Perhaps the SVR news page referring to Prince at The Engine House should be updated to include:- ....as seen on TV in (the above prog.)

(subtle hint for extra publicity?)
