Or is it intended to run with passengers from the current track limit on the former Stourport line to the similar limit on the former Tenbury line through platform 1 at Bewdley?

As far as I recall this has not been done whilst in SVR ownership, would represent an unusual opportunity for track mileage bashers and whilst not exactly a long ride is a lot further than the "ride" at some well known steam centres!

Can anybody clarify?

I haven't been to Bewdley PW recently, so things may have changed, but, the branch to Tenbury was full off stock after the viaduct, and the branch to Stourport was in the process of being relayed by the full time staff and thus there was no ballast under the newly laid track. So all in all, just the station free.

At least the Sunday weather forecast ( so far...) is showing a dry day for Bridgnorth. I dont know about others, but I just want a day without rain to get out of the house and go somewhere!
Kidderminster--Bridgnorth--Bewdley(EMF bookshop)--Kidderminster looks do-able even on the Sunday "B" timetable. Sadly it doesn't really work to stop off at Hampton Loade for the bookshop in the van. (I find "by rail" is the only practical way to get there given the lack of parking and narrow lanes by car). Hampton Loade--and the books--will be for another time... Wink

Sir Keith in steam at Bridgnorth as a bonus>>>??

This venture is not in connection with the Bridgnorth Gala on 16/17 June.

It is planned for the "Behind the Scenes" weekend 21/22 July, when there will also be a DMU shuttle to Kidderminster Carriage Shed.

Yes, profuse apologies, it is indeed included in an advert for "Peep Behind the Scenes", July 21st and 22nd.

Having said that, it is good to see the event promoted with a full-page advert.

Just out of interest, does the SVR own the trackbed of the Tenbury branch as far as the river crossing?

SKP won't be in steam, failed insurance exam - something about a leaking tap from what I heard...

I find that, if you're lucky on the Up journey back to Kiddy and the Up is in first, if you position yourself in the right carriage you can nip out, have a look round H-L's shops (at least one of them, two if you're really lucky) and be back in safe and sound in time to go!

I'd just like to offer Bridgnorth my hopes that the weather is pleasant and that their gala goes well.

Yes, I tried the "H-L Dash" last time, but the down train appeared within a minute or so, so despite some rapid eye movement, I didn't really do the stock of books justice !!

Sunday looks to be a reasonable day weather-wise at present.

The SVR150 Bridgnorth Station Gala was a tremendous success, with good numbers of visitors both days in spite of the weather forecast. Sunday was mostly sunshine and lots of great atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this event.

The next Bridgnorth Station Gala is scheduled for 2015, by which time certain redevelopment works, ie new build buffet, shop, bar extension, should be complete.

So perhaps a Kidderminster station gala in 2014 instead??
