I think it had mentioned about it as well in the Bridgnorth Journal. Still, it is a shame that we did lose out on more customers on the day but if they had still gone on the train to Highley, they would have difficulties getting on and off because of the amount of people who were at the Station! Not entirely sure what resolution we could have offered - there was absolutely no parking space at Highley (even with several of the station staff parking off-site), with the only possible solution I can think of being to drop off the disabled near the EH and then proceed to park elsewhere (there's a car park some way up the hill from the station). A free ticket to Highley wouldn't have been a solution, as they say that travelling on trains was not an option.

Without wishing to adopt a 'stuff 'em!' attitude, I'd agree with Danny that I can't see what solution could have been offered, apart from dropping off the disabled visitors at the EH and parking elsewhere as Danny suggested. It's a space-hungry event.

Regarding the issue of tickets; well, on the second w/e platform tickets were issued at KR so it would appear a lesson has been learnt, and I know at least one other station was asking for donations on the gate from non-travellers. But it's very difficult to organise and police. How often do you see special events offering a variety of different access providing tickets? Does the Farnborough Airshow offer a cheaper ticket if you promise not to look up?
