A Sentinel steam shunter had been spotted at Bridgnorth, the news (and some photos) coming via Facebook. The shunter is non-functional, and it is thought that it has come from the Bristol area to be "done up" at the SVR (whether that's cosmetic or a complete overhaul isn't clear).

It's worth noting that the Sentinel Waggon Works were a relatively local affair, being based in Shrewsbury.

Found out which one it is:-

https://www.flickr.com/photos/boxbrownie3/10247399934/in/set-72157629350636786

Caption "Sentinel 9387/48 at Tytherington Gloucestershire since August 1998. Was No 3 at Vallis Vale."

Checking a wikipedia list of preserved Sentinels, it was showing as preserved at Frome, but obviously has been at Tytherington.

Checking where Vallis Vale is, it so happens I went to Whatley quarry in that area back in the late 60s (I think) to see the railway there, but only remember Sentinel diesels. Now if I could find those old photos.......

EDIT: Thanks also to Steve Jones who spent many days getting rid of the rust and all the preparatory work.

this loco is moving to Sandford Station as a static exhibit, the nearby quarry formerly used a similar loco built in the same batch as this one.

I take it that is the former Sandford and Banwell station?
