Apologies. I can see it so it must be restricted access. For both reasons of copyright and I'm not very good at it, I won't try and post it here.

A few days ago from the website:

Quote:
51941 was booked into North Star Works on 26th/27th March for another lift, so the repaired bogie brake brackets and brake rigging can be fitted.

A lot of hard work has been done by a small team to bring 51941 back into service, the brake rigging has been re-bushed, and some new parts made, brackets repaired and re-fitted. After a couple of days testing and a good clean internally, the car can be put back into service

A big thank you must go to all those volunteers, paid staff and outside contractors involved in this work. Once the car has bedded in, a check will be made on the rigging, engine, transmission, etc, to see if any further adjustments are needed.

The DMU will be back in AS2 services from Saturday 28th March, possibly in a new formation, as 56208 will be leaving the railway shortly for a repaint at a company based on the Peak Railway in Derbyshire.

A repeated fault of mine, apologies. Now fixed.

What is up with the DMU, it failed yesterday and is only running as a 4 car at the moment.

I suppose it was a serious fault as I thought the DMU could limp home on the other engines in the unit?

The issue wasn't limping home; it was providing a round trip service from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and return.

Also, limping home would imply that the fault is with an engine or motor; I've had experience on the SVR of diesel locos where the engine was unresponsive to controls from one cab (the one needed to drive back to Kidderminster!).

After a little bit of searching around and on the DMU website news column I have established that they expect the DMU to be back in service next weekend. So whatever the problem was it should be easily fixable.
