Per SVR Facebook, two steam trains now fully booked and two with limited availability.

Patrick

EDIT 27/2: The forum wobble a couple of days ago deleted a post. A further, 1PM, train was added from KR due to the demand.

SVR website currently shows all Kidderminster departures fully booked although there is some availability from Bridgnorth.

Only one now shows as booked. I think the trains have been lengthened?

From the SVR website:

There will be no tickets available on the day from our Stations, or from The Engine House, to permit entrance to see Peppa Pig & George.

Ride out into the countryside on one of our steam trains to meet Peppa Pig & George.

Come along to meet Peppa Pig & George who will appear at regular intervals throughout the day at The Engine House, our Visitor Centre at Highley.

Magic Shows will also be taking place throughout the day with A Box of Tricks.

Don't forget to bring your camera!

Before you book, please use this handy chart to check the availability of your outward train time. Once you have travelled on this train you may then board any other train for the remainder of the day.

Passengers are advised not to bring pushchairs or buggies

Very appropriate that the "Pig" is working today.

As predicted in my earlier post a few days ago Highley station proved to be totally inadequate to handle the number of passengers and pushchairs on 8th May...dwell times for trains at certain times are laughable......

by the time that FS1 down train sched to depart 1354 the delays had built up gradually to 30 miins late..the next 3 departures up/down were all 37 mins late.......gradually reducing later in afternoon.......

we had 5 arrivals scheduled by 1205 which means around 1500 folks arriving to go to EH and the real problems are when they are gradually returning to go to KR or BH....we have to get passengers and pushchairs off the trains first before we can reload passengers.....some brake vans were at north end of Highley with very narrow platform....

at least Lewis Maddox spent most of the day with us assisting and experiencing the problems....which will give management an insight into the situation arising for these type of events at the EH.......

we had 6 staff on duty to help and our longest actual dwell time was 16 minutes for the 1354 departure at the real peak of the day......7 plus Lewis

have to think about booking less that 300 on each of the first 9 trains, 4 from Kr and 4 from BN........still that's another story.......

2nd rant over

To Mr Paul Jackson sorry about starting a 2nd post that you felt the need to block re Peppa Pig but frankly there are more important issues that needed highlighting.....my apologises again
