Coincidentally, today I circumvented the road-block I had encountered with the rear cylinder cover patterns.

Thanks oliver. I noticed 75069's boiler was on a wagon up the headshunt last time I travelled to BH. Presumably the boiler shop is more preoccupied with contract work, unless 42968's boiler is receiving attention now.

So the question is, are there any SVR loco boilers actually inside the boiler shop at present?

Isn't 75069 awaiting two new replacement barrel sections Rob?

Any update on the progress on 75069?

Seen the tender, but precious little news on the loco.

It's been positioned over the jacks for the last three months, and the springs and horn clips are off. I can't tell if it has actually been lifted off its wheels and then put back down, or is still waiting to be lifted, though I suspect the latter. The first photo of the Hall in the thread on that engine shows it there.

You wont see substantial progress until 7802 is completed although volunteers are currently working on the loco brake rigging.

Forgive my ignorance, is it 75069's tender that is currently in BR Black in Bridgnorth behind platform 2? Is she returning in BR Black?

Yep, coming back in BR black which IIRC is more correct for the large tender (BR1B). The Western Region green ones would have had the BR2 tender (3,500 gallons).

I understand 69 is due to be on the jacks till about September of this year and it is hoped to have it back in steam next year. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
