It moved there in June 2014. It has had an engine rebuild(?) I gather and sister 20177 has given up parts for the work. I've heard her arrival back is imminent and will be followed by a period of running in prior to entering back into traffic.

I've heard second-hand the company previously used are doing fewer small-scale rail transfers.

It will be good to see D8188 back on the line.

RTT shows Lickey route cancelled so looks like the 20s return down the Dark Side.

Video of convoy at Old Hill.

The return should've been via the Lickey, but it came back this way - and I didn't know about it, and missed it.

There is a photo of D8188 on the SVR Diesel Facebook page.
Apparently it was on thunderbird duty last night. Did another loco fail?

Regards
Reg.

Found an answer:-

http://svrlive.wixsite.com/svrlive/copy-of-news-221016-1-class-50-1

"October 24th, 2016

D8188 arrived this evening at Bridgnorth on a Thunderbird duty, deputising for steam locomotive 1501 which had developed a fault

(David Coombs)"
