http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/news/a814414/bbc-four-flying-scotsman-slow-tv-christmas-special/

"The channel's festive treats are headlined by The Flying Scotsman, an hour-long slow TV trip from the driving seat of the iconic steam engine, giving a signal-by-signal guide to life on board.

On a journey from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster in the Midlands of England, the crew will take locomotive 60103 down the Severn Valley Railway."

Saw this mentioned elsewhere, so thought it might be of interest.

Following last Christmas, the enchanting "sleigh ride", also the canal journey, and the bus through the Yorkshire Dales.

Will be shown on BBC4, 29th December, at 9pm.

BBC already trailing the programme. Saw a clip between programmes last night.

Watched last night. No commentary, no music, no over exited presenters just the voices of the 4 on the footplate calmly going about their duties. Superb

On again on BBC4 , 9pm on New Year's Day. I thought I read somewhere that this showing will be the "silent" one, ie even without the crew voices.

Superb programme, showing the calm professionalism of those on the footplate.

Its catching though! 60103 clearly had time to talk to our Bulleids about stopping on a dead centre! Wink
