I've just looked at svrlive using chrome as browser, so all new pages for that browser, not old stuff in the cache.

If I hover my mouse over the Spamcan or "Spring Steam Gala 2017" text, I see the link relating to diesel gala:-

So then following the link I do see the correct page, but look at the url. See what I mean, or is it different for other people?

Something is up the creek without a paddle, but if you say unlikely to change until May then I won't point out similar oddities.

Oh dear, another problem. Try downloading steam gala timetable from gala page:-

Server Error

404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

The SSG page URL is http://www.svrlive.com/copy-of-news-311016-2-diesel-gala-2 only because I duplicated then amended the diesel gala page when setting it up. I do that frequently, as life is too short to try and set up a page from scratch from the way the site was set up (see previous). Sorry

http://www.svr.co.uk/pdf/Special%20Events/SVR%20Spring%20Steam%20Gala%20Timetable%20(Updated%2027022017).pdf shows the timetable was updated today to show 78xx vice 1501

I wasn't aware of the change

Now updated

I'm at a loss on some of these. When Sharpo reported errors in links I rechecked them and they worked. Sharpo says they're now fixed, but I didn't change them. I don't get the links when I hover the cursor, as Sharpo describes. From various reports it seems to me this Wix site displays and behaves differently on users' different systems.

The class 20s are in use, rostered for use and there is no announcement to the contrary either by the SVR or owner.

The URLs and how one would change them are a mystery to me

The site is on limited resource now until mid-May due to other commitments.

Patrick

OK Patrick I missed the 20s booked turns in June.

There is much in svrlive I haven't looked at before, and as I was supping my mug of "t" I noticed this:-

"Starring Role for Kichen Composite 7960"

URLs

See http://www.svrlive.com/6-new-seacows

A combination of John Smith and my daughter have shown how URLs can be made more relevant. Thanks to both.

We will do some as time permits, but it's not a quick job.

It doesn't come with a redirect though so any links to the old address on SVR Wiki, Facebook etc will come up with a 404 error

Regards

Patrick

I only looked at the article to see the date:-

"July 8th 2017 from Burton-on-Trent to Datmouth"

Hi Patrick. On the Charitable Trust page:
http://www.svrlive.com/charitable-trust
The link at the bottom to download a Charitable Trust Memberís application form is broken. The version 16-02-12 has been replaced by 17-02-01.

Could the Volunteer Staff Handbook be made available as a text pdf rather than an image pdf please? This would make it easier to search and would make the text easier to read. It would also make it easier to copy & paste when quoting sections to answer questions via Facebook or this forum. The one on the VLO site is the same.
Presumably there is a text version somewhere. I can't find it on SVR online.

"33108 out on test on AS2 diagram, will work as required for
testing purposes along with booked loco 33035. 2x33 are cleared
for Double Heading. DO to finalise arrangments on the day."

Taken from traffic notice for Thursday - presume it should read AS3?

To be honest, it's not really an SVRLive issue - all versions of the traffic notice are a little confused as to whether the 33s are on AS2 or AS3. You're probably right that AS3 is correct; I'm sure you'll clear it all up with photographic evidence sooner or later!

Yes, just don't want to turn up for the wrong train.
