Didn't the SVR host an influx of Standard 4 tanks for one gala?]

Yes about 1998/1999.

Around 2018/9 the SVR is hoped to have two Standards in traffic. The Standard 4 tank is not likely to be in traffic for a while.

Typically a SVR steam gala hires three engines to supplement many more of the home fleet. The Class 2 (tender and tank), 4 tank, 5, 7, 8 and 9 (in each case if available) would makes seven hires. IMO it's unlikely

Though SVR Wiki doesn't seem to have a record of it.

Added to SVR Wiki http://www.svrwiki.com/Steam_Locomotives_visiting_the_SVR_for_galas#1999

There was a photo on the SVR news for winter 1999/2000 with all 5 tanks lined up at Bridgnorth.

I have a superb collection of SVR Magazines which need new homes. They have been donated to 82045 to raise funds. They number 20 - 180 and are in wonderful condition. They are all in red binders and form a smart collection.

Any interest please contact Barbara - details at http://www.82045.org.uk/82045_contact.html

Thank you.
