There was a picture on Facebook at the time.

I have had a series of deadlines and so the number of news articles on SVRLive was cut back. I saw reports of this incident but was not able to post it. Those deadlines have passed and hopefully the service will return to normal.

A version of this article was loaded to SVRLive earlier this week.

Thank you for the responses. I just thought it strange the 'Shuttle' announced it first.

That's where the picture is. I'm not going to avoid posting the link just because one person chooses to be unable to see it.
You do realise it would be easier to create a Facebook account once than to spend the rest of your life telling everyone you can't see the picture every time there's a Facebook link?

Fair comment, but it'll save others like myself wasting their time trying to view it. I have no intention of creating a Facebook account and don't usually bother trying the links.

Dear Graham, thank you for telling about the existance of the pictures on Facebook. Your efforts are appreciated.

However just like Sharpo I have no intent of signing up with that particular organisation so I too will not be able to see the pictures or conversations. I am a simple olde sole, so if its not on a web page then I will not know about it (and I guess this applies to others also?).

Returning to the main issue, ie, the derailment, do we know what has happened to the locomotive since then?

The tender is over the wheeldrop at Bridgnorth. The rear wheelset was removed yesterday -- some repairs needed to one axlebox.
