From a conversation with "HQ" yesterday, mrmover is correct, valid application and means of payment through the door at Neville Registrars by the 31st. deadline.
I suppose best not to leave it to the last minute though, in case the offer is fully subscribed before the closing date.

Our total has now passed the 2 million mark and continues to rise fast but timing is running out. We still have over 400,000 shares available to purchase at a price of 1 each before the Share Offer must close on 31st October 2017.

Just looking through the Prospectus, there does not appear to be any provision for over-subscription, so with 107,000 coming in in one day, it could be that the offer is closed before the end of the month.

There's a comment from a SVR(G) director on the public Bridgnorth Station Facebook page, so I hope I'm not writing out of turn. The [membership] company has agreed to an investment of 50,000.

I recall it did something similar towards the end of the 2012 Share Issue, to take that one over 2m.

In case anyone wants to do something similar.

Rather than buy more shares for me I have subscribed for additional shares and transferred them to our daughters, so they now have a small shareholding. I took them as children and, while not enthusiasts, they still visit it from time-to-time. This gives them a free ticket to encourage them and their partners to go each year and it can be used on Special Events too (one of them goes for the 40s weekends). They might even top up their holdings in future years.

It was a call into Neville Registrars who sent the transfer forms to send with the application.

I am pleased that this seems to be going well. I took out a small amount of shares at the start of the issue but right now I cannot afford to do more. However, I would have to do a considerable amount to take me into the next shareholder "perk" bracket (The second class pass.) I wonder if a perk of say 6 journeys a year for those who have over a certain amount followed by 8 journeys would prise the wallets open. There is such a large gap between the levels of shareholder benefits.

That said I really want the turntable to go in!

The Bridgnorth Share Offer closes on 31st October 2017. It is therefore no longer possible to send Share Offer packs out in the post due to the imminent application deadline, however it is not too late to purchase shares under this Share Offer.
New shareholders - please download the application form* and print, complete and return to Neville Registrars by post or by hand by October 31st 2017.
Existing shareholders - Please complete personalised application form (sent by post to most existing shareholders during Share Offer period) and return to Neville Registrars by post or hand or call Neville Registrars on 0121 585 1131 to purchase additional shares by October 31st 2017.
A Share Offer stand is open at Bridgnorth Station until Sunday October 29th (10am-2pm). Come along and see how the new refreshment room is progressing, ask any questions about the Bridgnorth Share Offer and purchase shares on the day by cheque, cash or card if you wish!

How can the figure be 2,268,801 when applications must be in multiples of 25?

Who bought the single share at 1?

A similar question was asked last January and never got an authoritative reply.

Yes. I asked it.

My concern is the lack of transparency. A shareholder whose entitlement to free travel has been lost after the periodic reviews may want to purchase just enough to restore that entitlement, but perhaps cannot afford the whole amount, and is so denied the benefit.

Many years ago I was in the same position, although in fairness the required sum was 100 when 100 was a lot of money. The threshold for free travel was increased such that I needed to buy an additional 55 shares, but could only buy in blocks of 100, and I simply could not afford the extra.

Have a policy that limits purchases to blocks of 25 by all means, but it you want to bend the rules to benefit someone, then don't have the rule at all. Without the full details (transparency) it makes cynics like me think it might be cronyism.

Shares could be purchased at Kidderminster and Bridgnorth stations this weekend, as well as from Head Office on Monday October 30th (tomorrow), from 9am - 5pm. It's being billed as "your last chance to help us reach 2.5 million" and reported that share sales on the day were even busier on Sunday than Saturday.
