The traffic notice suggested a 66 was bringing a couple of wagons from Bescot today. No sign of any movement as yet, is it cancelled or rescheduled?

I read somewhere it was lacking a driver.

I forgot about the DLR. It was alright on a suburban train, the train being computer driven to Greenwich to see the maritime museum. I think the underground trains are computer driven though they have a driver in the cab in case anything goes wrong.

I don't like the idea of a express travelling at 125mph or more being self driving.

Clearly starting to go off-thread, but why not? A driver is no more able to stop a 125mph train within sighting distance than a computer. Take, for example, the Lavington collision, where the driver only managed to slow from 92mph to 90mph before hitting a fallen tree (link), whilst narrowly avoiding being crushed - if it were driverless, at least it's would only be the risk of a crushed computer!

I haven't asked to check if any of this info is correct - it's all as reported elsewhere.

There is reportedly a mainline arrival tomorrow at 09.30 delivering two YQA 'Parr' Bogie Rail Wagons (Borail). This will be tripped to BY by local arrangement using 33108, which is in use on engineers' trains.

I think these were the two wagons that were to be dropped off at Kidderminster from Bescot on November 21st but cancelled due to no DB driver.

I understand two dogfish wagons may have left the railway ("sold/hired out").

South end points at Highley remain out of action with an FPL issue which prevents run rounds. S&T will inspect tomorrow. Tomorrow's 'Cracker' trains will be worked by D1015 'Western Champion' in the same diagram as the 33 today.
