In the past week, I've noticed that the bar is cleaned a lot more now and that the pumps are flushed through much better. Hopefully it will stay that way.

If it is genuinely open again, can we change the name of this thread as it gives a misleading impression!

It didn't really close per se, just had shorter hours for a week or two.

The K&C provided a nice pint on Saturday afternoon (18th June 2016) - Thanks Mr Holman.

So I can confirm from personal experience that it was open and working.

A better range of draught cider is also available and for a quite good price as well.

The latest marketing strategy appears to be offering the cheapest beer around.

More a fairer price IMO.

The hours have recently changed for the K&C: on Fridays and Saturdays it stays open half an hour later to 11.30pm while on Sunday it is now open 11 till 11.

Job vacancy update on SVRLive [published 28 December 2017]
http://www.svrlive.com/job-vacancies

We are currently recruiting full-time and part-time front of house staff for the King and Castle pub and Valley Suite in Kidderminster. There is an immediate need and we also anticipate recruiting more staff from March 2018 onwards.
Previous experience is preferred, however, the biggest attributes you can bring to the team would be enthusiasm, passion, positivity, fun and a great team ethic. There is a job to do and ensuring standards, compliance, cleanliness and the highest customer service is essential. Our goal is to ensure that every customer who walks through our door receives a great experience. As this involves bar work, only applicants aged 18 years or over will be considered.

Refer to web page for the application process details.
