I heard about this at the weekend. The old one may have been loose but at least it was the right dimensions.

This weekend's activities.

The crank axle is back and being cleaned and painted prior to a bit of therapy from Mr Noble and Lund. Course Anglo-Saxon emerging from between the frames from Petal's gang struggling with the vac pump.

I thought about "Mr Noble and Mr Lund" for a minute, and Google confirmed my thoughts.

A bit of machining, even tyre turning?

I suppose the proof of the pudding is when it goes back under, and all the "long bits" join up with the "going round" bits....

My apologies for a somewhat cryptic posting but I'm glad you managed to figure it out with a little help from Mr Google.

For the benefit of Mr Chappell: This afternoon the crank-axle was between the centres of Mr Noble and Mr Lund whilst one of our mid-week volunteers was making a new key for one of the eccentrics.

A quick nose poke in the machine shop yesterday revealed all 4 eccentrics fitted to the new crank axle and the axleboxes being machined on one of the vertical borers.
