I saw it being shunted at RVEL yesterday and must say it looks superb. Incidentally with Class 45, 31, 37, 50, 08 and 73 all rubbing shoulders RVEL is the place to be. Luckily for me I work at the RTC!

All the best,

Dave

Today 50035 has pulled its first revenue earning train since its repair and repaint at the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala.

It will now move to Didcot for their Gala later in May before returning home to the SVR.

Now that 50035 has reverted to it's proper number, maybe this topic needs renaming from 50135... Smile

An earlier move today http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/R02866/2015/06/02/advanced shows a light engine Bescot to Didcot GW.
And later on light engine Kidder to Bescot: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/R02868/2015/06/02/advanced

The fault that prevented Ark Royal from completing its DFE courses on Sunday was identified and fixed last night. A small team worked through the problem, and the Carbon Pile Automatic Voltage Regulator (a Newton part: a variant of a design that dates from the 1920s) was found to be faulty.

The AVR was replaced with an overhauled unit, and set up to ensure operation within appropriate tolerances.

Following further testing, 50035 was declared available for service.
