Really?

I'd have thought Kinlet Hall to be the most appropriate named loco to be on the valley.

Cheers Dave

Given that Halls were banned north of Bewley, this could well be the closest that 4936 has got to its namesake...

No pictures of the light engine move to Brdignorth today then?? I had the pleasure of Kinlet Halls first ever run through Kinlet, and a Collett Hall's first run up the line since 4930 last did in 1986... Very Happy

Hi miniandi,

Foremarke Hall is a Hawksworth Modified Hall, not an original Collett Hall.

Raveningham Hall, which was based on the SVR from 1977 until 1996 is also a Modified Hall, so it is true that the last Collett Hall to run North of Bewdley on the SVR prior to Kinlet Hall's visit was Hagley Hall in late October 1986.

Regards

Steve

Foremark is a Modified hall and not a pure breed Collett Hall like Hagley and Kinlet.

Edit, Shez beat me too it.

Missed the light engine run yesterday (sick bed), but Bridgnorth yard, today, was a little oasis of Great Western Green on a very gloomy day. Smile

(Ok, and British Rail Green, but you know what I mean...)
