Due to a steam loco failing, the 1635 Bridgnorth-kiddy reverts to premier power: 50026 Indomitable @svrofficialsite

43106 I believe?

Patrick

I did see the NSE liveried Diesel heading north through Arley at approx 1500. I saw both 4566 and 2857 working subsequently, so if something had failed it can only have been the Flying Pig

43106 was due to run CS2 today, which includes the 4.35 from Bridgnorth.

Anyone know what happened to it, and if it's still sick, what's running BS1 tomorrow?

Per NatPres:

The goods is out on this Sunday (8 June) and again next Sunday (15th), booked four trips between Kidder and Bewdley doing guards' refresher courses. 50026 booked for 8th and D821 (now out of action) for 15th

Sorry to dissapoint but both days now canceled, however I belive we are going to have another go in October. Would be good to hear of people comming to see it though as it may encourage our marketing people to run more.

I've just been told that 50026 failed today, and AS2 will be a 5-car DMU tomorrow, Friday 27/6.

Unable to take power using the controls in the South end cab, although working when using the North end one. Understandably, no one was too eager to try driving backwards all the way from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster...

I understand that the working party who investigated the fault over the weekend have made significant progress in rectifying it. However they don't report that the loco has been tested, so it may still be work in progress.

Facebook today relates this afternoon's DFE turned into a passenger service for at least part of its Bridgnorth to Kidderminster run (from Highley?)

From Hampton Loade, on its last Up trip. The service was running rather late (we were a bit down after an ambulance attendance early on, but then lost quite a bit more later for reasons unknown to me), and so it was decided to press the DFE into passenger use to provide some service for passengers who would otherwise be waiting.

Ambulance attendance at Hampton Loade?

Ambulance attendance at Hampton Loade?

When BS1 reached Hampton it's first down trip, we were asked if anyone was a first aider and told that someone had collapsed on the other platform (someone later said it was on train (BN1) so I don't know which was correct for certain). We were let go but presumably BN1 had to wait for the ambulance.
I asked Phil when he joined my train at Bewdley on it's rather delayed last up trip, he didn't know for certain what had led to the delays and was (is) going to look at the logs today to find out what it was.

BN1 left about 10 late, once the guard had ensured the passenger was being taken care of and that the ambulance was called. I can't give much more detail than that!

(My main challenge now is to work out which of the staff I asked about being first aiders Mr. K J Evans was...)

Well, the signalman asked my guard whether he was and he in turn asked me being one of the TTIs. Unfortunately both myself and the guard are lapsed first aiders (and I would want a refresher course before doing any)
