D444 website - D444 is now painted all over in primer, they might be an opportunity to get some paint on before Easter at this rate.... Things are progressing apace.

Pres Diesels - After extensive bodywork repairs and preparation, work has now started to repaint D444 into BR Blue livery. The loco is currently in all over primer and it is hoped that the repaint will progress quicker than planned.

I like the headcode!

Being someone who remembers many coats of paint followed by several of varnish, all by hand, it looks like it's only getting one, sprayed, top-coat. What type of paint is used, please?

The bodywork overhaul and repaint of D444 is almost complete, just minor finishing touches to be carried out. Further details can be found on www.d444.co.uk

50044 restarted successfully today, and used to shunt 50049 around the depot at Canton . 50049 is having it's body lifted tomorrow for adjustments to the bogies.

Haven't sorted my photos yet, but on the bridge at Kidderminster we noticed 50044 was signalled through Kidderminster (main line) - so the signalman was not expecting it to stop??

It certainly seemed quite a few minutes before it was signalled onto SVR tracks.

Where are they both going to? And any idea when Exeter is likely to be running on SVR?
