The Furness Railway Trust's Great Western Railway 0-6-2T Number 5643 will arrive at Kidderminster by road 20 May per the 14 May loco news.

The Trust says that 5643 is due to spend the majority (sic) of the rest of the year at the Llangollen Railway.

How long is it visiting, please?

Thanks

Patrick

The purpose of the 56's working visit is to cover for 7802 on SVR services whilst that is away at the forthcoming GWSR GW 175 Gala. The gala lasts 29th May until 6th June & 7802 is expected to return during the following week. The 56 should therefore be on the SVR until about 10th June.

That was probably why I didn't see 5643 in the yard at Llangollen over the weekend then!

Presumably it will be in use over the weekend?

Same at kiddy, look nice in steam with pig pulling the service train.
Traffice notice says it's only in use once next week.

Not in use today, Saturday. Stood in BN shed yard. Not in steam, and as far as I could see, we ran the first day of this busy weekend without a hot "spare" steam loco.
