In case anyone missed it, there was an update on the overhaul of 75069 contained within the "Bugle" report by Steve Owen, dated 6th January, as follows:

"...Another tender receiving a lot of attention is that of 75069, the main coal space and tank have received new steelwork to the shovelling plate area, with cleaning and painting of the coal space also underway. The underside of the tank has been descaled, primed and painted.

The loco frames are being prepared for the removal of the rear dragbox for replacement, whilst the boiler awaits space in the works".**

( ** The boiler was lifted end of July or early August, so it looks like there is a bit of a queue for admission to the boiler shop.)

It doesn't work for everyone even if you do have an FB account == I use FB, but can't access this.

Are you a member of the UK Heritage Hub page, Pete?
And if people are only going to moan, I won't bother posting the link.

Just informing you that not everybody can view the image, don't think it was moaning!

Not within copyright. You can view them where the poster posted them but can't reproduce, hence the tedious reposting of links.

Even on Facebook and Twitter there are various privacy settings whereby some people can see them and some can't.

From Adam Thomas on Facebook, he has been making progress with stripping off 75's weigh shaft spring housing. He didn't finish it as wire brush head ran out

Twitter:

75069 is having some more proprietary work undertaken. Won't proceed further until 7802's boiler completed
