There has been a working party on D7029 for several days along with general site clearing for the commencement of ground work for the diesel depot. It was hoped to install a short block MD870 engine in the hymek yesterday(11/6).

There isn't a recent photo in this topic for us non Facebook types, so one I took from the train on Sunday showing the Hymek in front of the new diesel depot.

Photo removed, as requested!

I hope some of you like the idea of me adding images from camera or camcorder as I have done in the last few days, it's easy for me and probably worth doing for shots you don't see every day? They'll get in my gallery - one day.........

Wow - she looks STUNNING! A real credit to the DTG and anyone else working on her!

I gather this is for the Diesel gala, where she is to be parked up in one of the 'bay' platforms, so that any time D7076 is in the station they'll be alongside each other.

She does look good.
My only concern is if the H & S officer should see the photo. Bridgnorth C & W were "encouraged" to use a safety wire when working on top of the carriages.
(Mind you, today's nanny state has overstepped common sense from when I was growing up)

Attached to a skyhook, no doubt.

I've been asked to remove the image, so if you haven't seen it - do so before it's gone......... It will "disappear" later this evening.

Paul

Nobody should be working at height without protection! Those who asked you should know better.

It's not even so much a "should" as a "must" - it's a legal requirement that the railway must comply with, or else the authorities will be rather unimpressed.

Would there be any possibilty of you taking another? She looks fantastic - I posted about her appearance in a SVR diesel gala thread on another forum but, as the old adage goes, a picture is worth a thousand words!

I would love to pop down to Kidderminster and attempt to take one myself, but I fear that work and parental commitments will foil that plan!

Went by on the train today but didn't see it.
