With appologies to Sharpo and others you can now follow EMF's locos on facebook at:

https://www.facebook.com/ErlestokeManorFund

You do not need to join Facebook to view.

The fund's website will also continue to be updated from time to time.

The EMF Facebook page has two images added:

Recent progress can be seen with the removal of the cab roof and one of the sides, and in the foreground can be seen Andy Sweet bolting down the drivers side splasher.

The second shows 7812 with Bradley's tender at the front

The GWR's idea of a Garrett?
In fact it was a positioning move to get the 4000 gallon tender normally paired with Bradley from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth in anticipation for the overhaul.

Again, if someone wants to embed the images I'd be grateful, or hopefully they can be reached via the link

Thanks Glen

Terry Jenkins on Facebook comments:

By yesterday 5 out of 6 tyres had been reprofiled with - fortunately - the removal of only about 150 thou of tyre. As these we previous renewed in 1997 they should last many miles yet! All tyres and axle journals now completed, eccentric straps trial fitted to the driving axle so its axleboxes next. Plenty going on with the other items currently including cab and dragbox repairs...
John applying black top coat to the cab roof.
Bernard Rainbow applying primer to the fireman's cab side. Some real progressing being made now as the painters can get on with the job in hand as opposed to scraping the old muck off.

There are a couple more photos there as well (same album as before).
