Pete - do you think we should add more? I was thinking that a couple a day to the end of Jan will be a gallery of towards 100 images.
Patrick

I think add whatever is appropriate -- a number of very similar pics have appeared on some Facebook pages, which really is unnecessary.

A number of recent photos on Facebook appear to show the contractor is now using two drilling machines and additional workers. In light of the recent heavy rain perhaps he is wanting to ensure the concrete slab goes in before the winter weather.

Thanks and apologies. I'd seen the photos but overlooked the second rig. Photo added to SVRLive

Any news of the concrete ground beam being cast, since the last update on SVR Live on 6th January? I guess the site is wet, but equally this week the weather is relatively mild for the time of year.

Thanks

Rob

Perhaps if Patrick is asked politely, some of the (many!) images that have been posted on Facebook could be transferred to SVRLive.

From the photos, it appears that current work is focusing on the installation of drainage, underground plumbing, and so on.

I haven't had an update from Chris Bond since 6th, I did get and post one for the winter works but I can only imagine how stretched he is over two sites

EDIT: There's a whole lot of photos appeared on Bridgnorth station FB. I have judiciously added a few, plus much else.

Patrick

Patrick, any news on concrete going down at Bridgnorth? No recent update from Mr Bond who I guess is very busy with a deadline for the track relay.

Thanks

Rob

ps: Spring appears to have arrived today in Hereford, quite suitable weather at last for laying said concrete.

Some photos on http://www.svrlive.com/bridgnorth-development, and a lot more on Facebook, particularly the Severn Valley Railway Official Site. Inevitably, you'll see more info and photos on sites like this than on svrlive, and a lot more quickly, simply because people find it so easy to post stuff there. The pics on svrlive were on Facebook quite a bit earlier!
So if you're resisting using sites like Twitter and Facebook, I'm afraid it's your loss!

I must say this attitude sounds very harsh! The policy of not using SVRLive for keeping shareholders informed sort of defeats the meaning of 'Live' within SVRLive does it not?

I'll take the "loss" Pete, and settle for "old news"!

I agree with the poster above, SVR Live was/is the unified vehicle for keeping members uptodate.

Anyway, good to see the progress. Methinks much concrete laying is not too far off. Perhaps a pity it will coincide with half-term, I suspect Bridgnorth station environs will be somewhat crowded.

What would you suggest as an alternative?
Should all photos be forwarded directly to svrlive and only be posted to Facebook after they have appeared there?

Photos can be displayed in this forum or in svrlive. I don't care where they are posted first. If it's just on Facebook then I don't look at them.

You've lost me now.
A selection of photos are being displayed on svrlive. I thought the complaint was that they appeared first on Facebook.

No, I was commenting about this which appears in an earlier post:-

"Some photos on http://www.svrlive.com/bridgnorth-development, and a lot more on Facebook, particularly the Severn Valley Railway Official Site."

Those on svrlive I will see, I won't be looking elsewhere for any others.
