Many thanks for the update. It is unfortunate that this project is obviously not going as smoothly as was planned, but reassuring to see the concerns expressed on here have been acknowledged and that things are still 'in hand'.

I haven't been to Bridgnorth for ages so can only read what is posted here. Much of it is extremely negative, which is a shame, so would they be better in the private part of the forum?

It's not that I disagree with what has been posted, but should it be so public?

I checked with the GM that 'this is fine to post' in the public forum

Topic can be moved to the Private forum if we have consensus?

As the building itself and the lack of progress are very much in public view, I don't see much point in hiding the discussion about it.

I think a public word of thanks and appreciation to the GM, David and his team for their efforts. The frank and detailed update on the current Bridgnorth situation is much appreciated.

Thank you all.

Or even Hear, Hear!.

Not necessarily pretty reading, but good to see that this is being dealt with honesty and openness.

With those people involved with the project confirming that the front part of the roof should have been protected against the weather much earlier, lets hope that some temporary covering was put in place last week. We appear to have had a monumental amount of rainfall this weekend.

Edit: 22nd January. The daily image on SVRLive shows what looks like the start of some protective covering at the southern end of the pitched roof.
