If anyone from Bewdley North signal box has lost their oil can, I found it at Bridgnorth.

I posted this last night on the unofficial Facebook page as a harmless pun on the frequent confusion caused by the use of BN instead of BH.
Unfortunately, it's been deleted now, but after a series of Chinese whispers style misunderstandings and people jumping to conclusions, some of the replies were unintentionally far funnier than the original joke up to the point where there were demands for me to return the "stolen" oil can.

I think the solution is to rename Bewdley Halt as "Wribbenhall", so that the boxes can be WS and WN. Would remove the confusion. [tongue firmly in cheek......]

A single member of the loco department recently had cause to complain after he had been into a supermarket in Bridgnorth After purchasing 6 items he got to the checkout and the assistant said to him
"I can tell you live on your own"
"Why, because I only have 6 items? he asked
"No, because you are such an ugly b*****d" replied the assistant.

What is the world coming to?

Wot! No turntable - oh, there's a triangle, doubt if "Gordon" would get through that.

Feeling unloved, unappreciated and ignored?
Not to worry, just add the word "photography" after your name and write it across all your photos for that instant, warm, self important, fuzzy feeling inside.

What the SVR think will happen if they let D213's owners drive.

I got to Bewdley a bit late today, so I asked the porter, "What time's the next train?"
"The next train's already gone" he said.

Porter "about 7 coaches"

Porter gets handbagged

A Tweet

BBC Shropshire ‏@BBCShropshire 5m5 minutes ago
Say hello to Hans. He's come all the way from Holland today to see #flyingscotsman in Bridgnorth @svrofficialsite @svrbridgnorth pic.twitter.com/QSSqomPtIj

The burning questions. Did he bring his niece? Is she called Ann Bumpsadaisy?

You know: Hans' niece Ann Bumpsadaisy

I think I heard it on Round The Horne, circa 1965

I need to get out more. I'll get my coat

Patrick
