In 2005, Victoria Bridge was awarded a Commendation in the Institution of Civil Engineers Historic Bridge & Infrastructure Awards after being judged by a jury of its piers.

You certainly find some odd stuff restoring wagons.
Wedged under the floorboards of the Southern brake van, I found a round, flat piece of plastic with a hole through the middle and a spiral groove on each side.
Is this a record?

On that disc(ordant) note, can we change the subject?, or are you going to look out of the side of the van and duckett ?

Found this 1908 postcard and thought it belongs here as much as anywhere.

I'd arranged to help Bewdley PW last weekend, so I wore my fleece with "Life is a journey, not a destination" printed on the front and "Love conquers all" on the back.
"What have you got that on for?" they asked me.
"I was told to wear a reflective jacket" I said.

I love rummaging for bargains in the sales coaches at Bewdley.
My best find was a cheap digital radio. The volume control was missing, but it was only £2. I couldn't turn it down.

I see Peppa Pig's appearing again this year. I won't be going, I'd rather watch concrete dry.

(I wonder how many Peppa Pig fans there are on this forum who will get this one)

I met someone yesterday who I hadn't seen since I was a young trainspotter.
"Mr MaGoo" we used to call him, the nightwatchman at my local station. He was so short sighted he couldn't see from one end of a carriage to the other.
He's the reason I got in to trains in the first place.

There's far too many safety signs in the Joinery Shop at Bewdley, it's nowhere near as dangerous as they make out. I mean, I've been using woodworking machinery for years and I can count the number of accidents I've had on the fingers of one hand.
