With all the talk of collecting information on Wikipedia, I'm reminded of the Festiniog's own wiki, Festipedia, maintained by various FR members - perhaps we might benefit from something similar?

I like it. Good idea.
Needs a snappy title like the Ffestiniog uses.
But what would it be called. 'xxxxxxipedia'

Not seen it before, but could work well.

As for a name, "SevernValleypedia" or "SevernVallipedia" would seem to describe it quite well. Once it becomes well known the actual name is not so important.

"Valleypedia" comes to my mind, although it's not terribly specific!

Anything "...pedia" has unfortunate connotations for some members of society. Having already been referred to in a derogatory way as "anoraks", we must surely be able to do better than this.

http://wikiindex.org/Category:MediaWiki

If you look at the above link, you will see lots of sites without "wiki" in the name. It could be "any" name.

It's not the prefix, it's the suffix that could have the detrimental effect.

Graham,

Have a go at compiling your own set of photos & any that are proving hard to get, if I've got them, you can use mine.

Had a meal at the Ship on Thursday & made sure I was back at the station to film the freight charter pass through. I counted 16 including the 2 brake vans on the train. (I was going to put "guards vans", then wondered about the apostrophe & where it should go....... you've gotta laff!!)

The important thing, as you have recognised, is that there is the possibility that the apostrophe could be in the wrong place. For me, this is the first and most significant step in the process of putting matters right or working round the problem as you have done.

I thought it might cause some amusement!
