Also, just to say D8568 has moved from the siding by the car park to the sidings beyond the diesel depot near the carriage shed. It was started up mid morning and had moved before I returned just before 1pm.

If you have 7 minutes to waste then watch D1015 arrive at Kidder and run to the diesel yard. It's all rather slow to watch, but that's how it was. Why rush when there's no need!

https://youtu.be/rLXVkA6KeDo

It has to be more interesting than watching it roll down through Old Hill.

Enjoyed watching that - thanks Sharpo!

On another note - I see that a photo of the WTT has been posted on Faceache; since it clearly exists, is this available via other means yet?

Edit: I can't read. Never mind!

Internally on SVROnline for the last few days, or for a fiver for non-working-members (presumably available from BH, BY, and KR booking offices as well as online?).

Is it defintely the Diesel gala WTT you are referring to? Can't see it on SVRlive anywhere, and don't recall there ever being a charge for the diesel gala WTT.

Oh ruddy hell, no it's not! I'm completely in ASG mode currently...

(I've not seen anything Diesel Gala-related yet)

Finally got a photo of D8568, not had a chance to put it in my gallery yet, so it's in the blog:-

http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/blog/?p=5579

It was in the yard at Kidderminster on Sunday. You can click on the image to see the 957x638 size image if you wish.

No worries - as I said, saw a photograph of the diesel gala WTT on Farcebook, but a photo of a timetable is a poor substitute for a PDF or a proper printed copy.

Yeah - a pretty extensive, and impressive, timetable.

I do wish that the 14 and 17 were being doubled-headed more than once though - they're only doing one return trip double-headed, on the Saturday evening.

The other photo pf D8568 has proved popular, so another shot of it added:-

http://www.sharpos-world.co.uk/blog/?p=5602

They certainly had a strange appearance with the centre cab and long bonnets.

Have to admit, whilst I DO appreciate that it is a generic page, I did chuckle when I visited the Diesel gala page on the main site. Clicked the 'Clayton Footplate Experience' link; this takes one to the general 'diesel footplate experience' link, which states that a tour of the locomotive engine room is part of the package.

Would love to know how one tours the engine 'room' on a Clayton Wink Wink

Continuing the humour, shouldn't it really be rooms, plural, as there are 2 engines?
