Regrettably, the previously announced visit of Class 20s No. 20142 and No. 20205 to the event will no longer take place. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our Spring Steam Gala may be in full swing, but we have another fantastic Spring Diesel Festival announcement to make!

A brand new Class 68 and a Class 37 courtesy of DRS 'Direct Rail Services' will be visiting our biggest diesel event yet from May 19 - 21.

So that brings the grand total of visiting locomotives to 11!

Bostin', no gala is complete without a Class 37!!

Seems that a lot of effort is being put in to this Gala and I'm really looking forward to it!!

45060 will no longer be appearing at the event due to unscheduled maintenance. 10 guests is still pretty good though!

The SVR website also says that LU's 4TC set will be visiting.

Main engine lubricating oil pump has failed unfortunately and a replacement is being sought (per J Dunster's post)

It will be interesting to see the loco allocations, with so many "visitors" it must be difficult to fit them all in.

Subject title changed from 'Diesel Gala' to 'Spring Diesel Festival' to align with SVR web site.

Iíve heard that 87004 Britannia could be visiting the diesel gala, itís been shipped over from Bulgaria to have heavy maintenance at Brush Loughborough, in February.

Itíll ready to be shipped back to Bulgaria in May. The SVR has arranged a small detour to the diesel gala on it way back to Bulgaria.

I wish I saw that. Do you remember whether Electra was in BR black or BR blue livery?
