As for the Cambrian Coast Express - Steamdreams web site is down.

Still a question of who will operate them all...

Oh dear, the Scotsman trip to parts of Scotland has been cancelled!
Try this link http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/may/13/borders-trip-off-as-flying-scotsmans-wings-clipped-by-network-rail
Something has gone wrong here and upset some people.

Ian Riley has mentioned that the ORR are concerned about the amount of trespass when Scotsman runs on NR, and have said they might have to consider banning the loco from NR if the incidents of trespass continue.

Glad to hear it is sorted. On this link the paper says the train would have been pulled by a heritage diesel if the Scotsman could not come out to play. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/may/14/flying-scotsman-trip-back-on-after-network-rail-u-turn

I understand the Flying Scotsman will be at Tyseley between 16th and 18th September before coming over to the SVR.

Scotsman arrived at Tyseley this morning. I filmed it at Small Heath, as did a BBC cameraman I believe - so it might be on local BBC news later.

Yes, seen on lunchtime West Midlands news.

RTT shows Tyseley to SVR cancelled, perhaps "Class 47" has flat battery!

I've seen it mentioned now that it was, in fact, cancelled due to a sad 47, and that the plan was to drag it to the SVR after all!

Edit: There are now umpteen different stories floating about, both with and without 47 involved, with Pete's post below being the latest version I've heard.

NBI from the GM an hour ago:
Flying Scotsman was due to arrive on SVR metals this morning, unfortunately its On Train Monitor Recording system has failed and the move to the SVR has been put back until tomorrow.

I gather that is the equivalent of an aircraft's "black" (actually bright orange!)
box.
