For the ‘Peep-Behind-The-Scenes’ event on Saturday 20th July, the DMU will be providing two service trains, one at Bewdley for the Tenbury - Stourport branch stub shuttle and one at Kidderminster providing the Carriage Shed Shuttle

http://www.svr.co.uk/SpecialEvents-View.aspx?id=9
Tenbury & Stourport Branch Shuttle – New this year will be a DMU shuttle running on a part of the Tenbury & Stourport branch from Platform One giving an entirely new experience and a truly unique photo opportunity

I thought this happen last year or am I think of the M&S weekend?

It was mentioned in the same topic a year ago, don't know if it actually happened though.

I seem to remember pictures on the DMU group website for them doing it.

Confirmed that the Bewdley DMU proceeded along both the Tenbury line and the Stourport lines last year, much to the satisfaction of Branch Line Society members who had come along specially.

Great day out on Saturday. I went into both the Kiddy and Bewdley N boxes and had a look around the carriage sheds & works. Also Bewdley yard. I was disappointed that the DMU wasn't working at Bewdley for the excursion on the Tenbury and Stourport branches, what's left of them. Did the DMU fail.I think it should have been over 2 days has I didn't have enough time to go to have a look around Bridgnorth sheds.

What was the attendance like . Word seems to be disappointing but it would good to know officially . There is also a perception that the focus on "family" means that the lower key enthusiast events are not being as actively promoted to their detriment

Notice board issue today: "The Committee of The 4150 Fund would like to thank all the Railway community for their support on our “Peep Day” as always a supreme effort by all concerned on the day. Initial figures show we made about £2000 as well as further raising the profile of this much needed loco, it will also bring the long overdue steaming of the last Barry restoration on the SVR that much closer."

£2000 = 3-400 visitors. A bit disappointing, In my view.

I'm unsure how those figures compare with previous years so it's rather hard to judge one way or t'other.

Guessing also you are only alluding to visitors buying wrist bands as opposed to all visitors to the railway.....

Unless the 4150 fund is getting part of the ticket receipts for the day, that would make sense.

I don't subscribe to emails from the SVR so it is harder for me to comment, but a couple who do said they didn't get any e-mails on this as they hadn't for Mechanical Horse day , whereas they got repeated updates for family days out on the SVR. In both cases they had forgotten about the events and didn't come .

It raises the question that with all the family focus in terms of marketing are we missing out the enthusiast side who can make a valuable contribution . Perhaps one for Clare to give her marketing perspective on

I do receive them, and have received (most recent first): share offer update, 1940s x2, Family Fun x4.

Nothing for Peep.

Mat_ Cov must be correct, the figure quoted is for wrist band sales only.

I called at KDR on Saturday morning and the railway was --as usual--very busy.
