How much interest do you have in Peppa Pig, Hallowe'en, Santa, Paddington Bear etc.?
The railway puts on lots of special events throughout the year.
I can't understand why the only one to attract 15000 visitors is also the only one that so often gets singled out for criticism.

No. 60163 Tornado is the surprise final visiting locomotive to star in the event on November 5th & 6th only. Returning to the Railway following the hugely sucessful Pacific Power event with Flying Scotsman, Tornado will be steaming along the Valley once more.

Timetable now available: http://svr.co.uk/pdf/Special%20Events/SVR%20Season%20Finale%20Gala%20Timetable%20%28updated%20191016%29.pdf

I note that the public timetable shows note "B" for 7812's services on all days, referring to the observation saloon being attached. However, the text on the website and draft WTT I've been issued (which could be outdated by now!) imply that a saloon is attached Friday and Saturday only. Which is correct?

My post was entirely a personal viewpoint. I thought it was a load of nonsense and had no interest in it, as is my personal prerogative.

As I said, the smaller engine theme suits my personal tastes far better.

The reason people criticise that event is not so much the event itself as the event it replaced. The SVR ASG is the best gala in the country. Those people who regularly attend it were totally ignored in the pursuit of money. I am glad the event was a success. But many are still annoyed.

Looking at the timetable, there is an auto service back from Bridgnorth at 18.05 which also runs on Sunday. I thought this service did not appear on the original Sunday timetable. Is it definitely running on the Sunday?

The 18.05 is shown as running on Sunday in the draft WTT (v1.5).

Just now:

Hello,

The timetable now published is correct, including the 7812 B issue which now only operates Fri and Sat.

Timetable is exactly (excluding the diner on Sunday) the same on each day.

Thanks!

Kindest regards,

Also, I'm advised that the goods train will be running with brake van rides, tickets for which will go on sale shortly from the ticket office at www.svr.co.uk

40.00 for a brake van ride on the goods trains.
Beyond my pocket!
The weekend is costing me 200.00 plus so no brake van ride for me

How about fixing a web-camera to the brake as an alternative? Topical maybe?
