Just printed new updated copy of WTT for 8th May as working at Highley tomorrow........

noted that first 4 up trains from BN are booked and operations people give Highley just 5 minutes dwell time.......we always face 30/40 pushchairs on each train.......... from experience in last couple of years expect delays....trust me it will happen with 4 of us working...Ky to BN trains have 8 mins dwell time ( we have had 10 previously)....until afternoon when 1530 departure is reduced to 4 minutes............first 5 trains from KY booked with 300 people on each train

Does anyone in Management ever learn and appreciate that we get 3 coaches on platform our of 8 coach train and it takes time to get families onto platform and reunite them with their pushchairs.........and it snowballs with each arrival because folks who have been to EH then return to platform to get on a train with their pushchairs whilst we try to offload the next incoming train. Gets rather crowded.....

so here's a thought Lewis Maddox and Claire Gibbard and Traffic/ops managers for selling this event and giving us the trains times.......please come to Highley and experience the fun......open invitation......

hope I am wrong about tomorrow don't think so........rant over

...and at the very Northern end of Highley platform the platform is somewhat low, meaning getting passengers on and off can be a slow process, particularly the young and the elderly.

Exactly....last Monday we had a 4 year old child jumped out of the train before his father stop him and he went down onto the track between platform and train...cut his head and was very shaken up as were parents....

dependant on coaching set there is often a big gap.......especially with Peppa Pig event it is aimed at very small children...no one seems to take into account that after visiting EH they will all come back to platform to get to KR or BN as they do not stay long at EH......

don't know why we keep volunteering for this event.......thank goodness it is only 1 day this year......oh no...Paddington Bear later in the year...bring on the Marmalade sandwiches and aspirins.....

Please can we try to use an existing thread where there is one rather than create a secondary discussion?
See http://forum.svra.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3620

Duplication causes confusion.
