Not only are the Christmas leaflets out, but tickets can be brought on the website now (not much announcement but that does avoid a rush)

SVR social media is now starting to push Christmas bookings. Currently two Santa trains are showing as limited availability - one of those being on December 3rd, would you believe it! Santa Heralds and Carol trains are showing their availability as "updated August 8th" (I don't believe that...), with one Carol train full and one limited.

By this date last year 1/4 of tickets had been sold, hopefully sales are similarly good this year (and perhaps even better, if many new customers were introduced by Pacific Power).

Notice how the notice says about Ghost trains, is key to the operation is making Arley station ghost like, what about making Kidderminster Town Station ghost like and getting passengers onto the trains?

We have a number of people helping on Friday, but help is still needed on Saturday October 29th from 9am-11am to move the presents from road to railway, ready for the Santa operation.

Bookings still coming in well.
Today's figures for Santa Special + Santa Herald are 16123.
This is below the figure at the same time last year, but comfortably ahead of the figures at the same time in all the years 2011-2014.
Last year sales went so well that we'd sold out by 1st Dec, which meant anyone trying to book after that date was disappointed, and arguably meant that fares could have been higher.
Fares were therefore increased a bit for 2016, and we are still on course for 99 - 100% sales [2015 was 100%, and 2014 was 99.3%].

There used to be a section on the website which showed which trains were sold out etc - but I can't find it this year?

Perhaps we're getting a visit from an American comedian?

There is still a vacancy for the man in red on 11, 17 and 24 December.

There is of course lots of other tasks at Arley from Elving, present delivering, buggy patrol, etc.

Contact Di Malyon for details

Everything now sold out! -- Santa Specials, Heralds, meals etc!!

A shame we didn't quite manage to sell out the last 2 Santa Special trains on Saturday and Sunday last weekend, but not too significant in the overall scheme of things!
