I have some .mov videos to compress for the SVR and want some free software or to do it online. Files are up to 1.4GB. Any recommendations please?

Thanks

Patrick

Why compress it? Upload as it is and let viewers select their settings to view it.

Quite - YouTube will do all sorts of compression and other changes when you upload the video, whether you want it to or not.

Thanks

I was doing that as I uploaded them but it was taking an age. In the end I did only two of the four - life's too short!

Know what you mean! I usually edit my videos on to a usb stick, plug it into an old laptop, then start uploading at bedtime. I set the laptop to switch off after 4 or 5 hours as that is the time some of the longer videos may take.
