I am an existing shareholder with only 50 shares, but would like to buy some for Bridgnorth Station. When I called the office last week, the lady told me that they are unable to send out packs to existing shareholder and I need to call this number (cant remember the company name, but apparently they administer the shares..).

I am left slightly confused now. All I wanted was a application form/pack which I can fill in and I wanted my money to go towards the Bridgnorth project. Is there a difference between just buying shares and the ones for Bridgnorth specifically?

Oliver

I think there may be a misunderstanding here.
The office at Kidderminster is dealing, as far as I am aware, with applications from new shareholders only.
As an existing shareholder you should contact Neville Registrars Limited on 0121 585 1131.
I seem to recall reading that the application forms have gone out only to those with a shareholding above a certain level. You may be below that level, I don't know, or have you moved and not informed the registrars?
All shares will have equal standing, but the money raised this time will be designated for the Bridgnorth upgrade.
Hope this clarifies things.

Peter

"If you are a shareholder who has not received a share offer document, but would dearly love to support Bridgnorth Station development, please telephone the office on 01562 757900 to request a copy be sent in the post, or download it from above. "

I have advised the SVR of the anomaly

Thank you for the clarification Peter, that makes sense now.

I will try calling again to see if they can send a form, but if not I will call that number for Neville Registrars.

If you're thinking of purchasing shares for travel benefits http://www.svr.co.uk/pdf/SVR%20Shareholder%20Benefits.pdf and haven't yet done so, a reminder that benefits are based on the number of shares held at 31st December each year. So if you buy shares (additional shares or for the first time) before the New Year you will get the benefits in 2017.

I tried again last week to request a personalised prospectus to be sent to me by calling the office and was again fobbed off with a phone number to ring. A family member is/was looking to buy me some shares for Christmas and wanted a paper application form which dispute my best efforts, I have been unable to obtain.

The shareholder document says: 'if you are an Existing Shareholder, please use the Personalised Share Application Form which gives your full name, address and Unique Application ID that accompanied this Share Offer Document'. But I have not idea where this form can be found?

I've again copied your comments to the Co Sec

Not all shareholders got a prospectus. Those that did had a form with that info on. If your holding was below the limit and the SVR didn't send you a prospectus then you won't have that ID.

The next best thing I guess would be your existing Share Certificate(s) numbers?

Oliver

I have spoken to a young lady at Neville Registrars - 0121 585 1131 - and explained about a person holding a minimal shareholding, The application forms were sent to those having a minimum of 100 shares.
However, if anyone holding below that amount who has not received an application form but wishes to buy more shares, they are welcome to ring Nevilles and explain, and they will send a form.

(Patrick - please note in case of further queries)

Thank you Peter, I do hope the website and Head Office are made consistent and correct

Thank you both once again. I will give them a call and explain and hopefully they can send a form out. I do feel though that the SVR could be more helpful to minority shareholders like myself rather than just giving me a number to call and I cannot believe I am the only person to feel this way especially if the shares are being bought as a gift.

Peter's excellent intervention will I hope help you.

I didn't receive a reply from the SVR in the intervening week when I raised the anomaly, nor from the website and your comments does it seem the system has changed.

I think there should be a clear procedure, explained in the website, and with staff at both Comberton Place and Nevilles trained to handle enquiries. Your experience doesn't show this to be the case.

If, as it seems from your experience, the published procedure is ineffective that IMO should still be addressed.

I see from SVR Live that the share issue has reached £869018. Impressive!
But how can that be divisible by 25? Applications can be for a minimum of £100 and thereafter in blocks of £25. So who has authorised a breach of the Terms and Conditions of the Offer?

I would ask this as a question in the Private Forum, but as I am banned from doing so because I use a pseudonym, could I suggest that others ask the question.

Could it be down to optional extra donations on top of the shares maybe?
