I see from SVR Live that the share issue has reached £869018. Impressive!
But how can that be divisible by 25? Applications can be for a minimum of £100 and thereafter in blocks of £25. So who has authorised a breach of the Terms and Conditions of the Offer?

I would ask this as a question in the Private Forum, but as I am banned from doing so because I use a pseudonym, could I suggest that others ask the question.

Don't know but I seem to recall from the previous share issue that some flexibility was exercised.

How is the share issue doing?

So the SVR are now sending a share application form to shareholders with between 50 and 99 shares. I feel this is a good idea, and this is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for a few months back. As someone who falls into this category, what I want is a simple form (whether paper or online) that I can fill out to apply for x amount of shares, not to have to go through some registrar and be fobbed off with their phone number. I know I am not the only person to feel this way and be in this position, so hopefully this move will add a welcome boost to the share offer. I look forward to finally purchasing some shares if/when I receive this form!

From the notice I presume Oliver had read, "close to £1 million in just three months", dated 16th Feb.

I notice the front top of page 'scrolling' headlines on svr.co.uk shows over £960,000 raised so far.

Brilliant achievement. The problem now is how to keep the momentum going and persuade people who have not yet invested to do so and people who have invested to cough up some more..

from a post today on Facebook by 'Severn Valley Railway Official Site'

We're now at £1.87million in our Bridgnorth Share Offer and the £2million mark is within reach! Applications are coming in thick and fast, with just two weeks to go until our fundraising closes.

If you can help us over that magical £2million mark, see www.svr.co.uk/shareoffer or call 01562 757900 (option 2).

AND from 21st-29th October, you can purchase shares from Kidderminster and Bridgnorth with cash, cheque and card from 10am - 4pm.

This may have been discussed before, but how far through the application process does someone have to be at the closure date to be included? I ask as there have been reports throughout the period of the share offer of long response times to applications or inquiries. For example, if someone has expressed interest, but was still waiting for a response by the 31st, are they unable to continue with their application?

I would have thought that the cut off is applications having been received, with payment, by the close of business on the 31st. Processing of that application and the issuing of the certificate can follow afterwards.

Expressing an interest will not qualify, but I suspect that clerical input has been ramped up recently to respond to expressions of interest to turn them into applications by the close date.

Lifted from official things:

Quote:
Our share offer closes on October 31st 2017, please leave enough time for your application to be processed.
