Pete

From Nat Pres

The preview timetable says table C is all-steam on March 26-28 (as in previous years)

The website Calendar page says the diesel diagram is diesel on all dates. I suspect that is wrong. http://www.svr.co.uk/CalendarTimetable.aspx

Cheers

Patrick

Does that page need to be hidden during the winter works http://svr.co.uk/NewsItem.aspx?a=712?

The Spring Steam Gala page has problems on small resolution screens (e.g. my laptop), see the "Click here // to book" link in this screenshot. There's also no border around the image of Bradley Manor, so it just seems to merge into the background, looking quite untidy.

A friend has said some of the pages bootstraps aren't optimised (he did computing at uni), and I suspect that is causing the fault in your screen shot.

Yes, I know - this is because of some problems with formatting the page, and I wanted to compare the original version with a modified format. I'm surprised anyone noticed!!

[update -- now back to just the one!]

No - the Opening hours page is still relevant -- see the 'Non-operating Days' column, which actually gives slightly more info in some cases.

Someone on the unofficial Facebook page was asking about the Bridgnorth gift shop opening times.
I was going to suggest the on line gift shop, but it's a bit of an embarrassment isn't it?
It's been open a few months now, yet "SVR branded clothing . . . Take a look at our styles In a range of colours and sizes" is a tie in a choice of three colours.
The "range of DVDs" is two, while the "range of publications" on the bookshelf is one book which is out of stock anyway.
Never mind, at least the festive season is just around the corner.

Not the SVR web site this time, but Visit Worcestershire is still showing 2014 prices.
I couldn't find any contact details on their web site, so I messaged them via Facebook. They haven't replied or updated their web site yet. Presumably our marketing department are able to contact them directly, so I wondered if anyone who monitors this thread could pass this on to them please.

Website calendar page now updated -- says "This service will normally be diesel-operated, although a steam engine will be used on March 26, 27 and 28." i.e. same as in the timetable.

Hi

http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=100 has:

Quote:
Further booking information will be available in the New Year.

Suggest this be changed to say "soon"

A search for Christmas brings up 5 results so some pruning might be in order:

Brochure Bookshelf
Engine House > Opening Dates / Times
Food & Drink > Restaurant Cars > Christmas Dining
Education > Events, Activities & Fares 2015
Fares - special events

http://www.svr.co.uk/GiftShop.aspx also offers Christmas Gifts

A search for "2015" might also be useful later when checking everything's been updated - it's useful having a search facility!

Cheers

Patrick
