thx ... now changed. These change fairly often, and I'm not entirely convinced of the value of showing this on the website.

Perhaps the solution then is to not show directions on web site and just leave it to a topic in the forum which anybody can update. Less work for you!

Or we could add a column for direction on the SVR Wiki locos page, which again anyone can update.

If we don't have the information on the main website, I think it would be useful to have a link to wherever else the information can be found.

[Edit]I have added the column on the Wiki, without pre-judging whether it should be removed from the main website.

The public do ask the question on official social media and are referred to the website. Without the website the queries will go unanswered

Pete

http://www.svr.co.uk/Contact-HeadOffice.aspx

The general enquiries email button doesn't work (see passim). The link goes to "mailto:contact@svrlive.com?subject=General%20Enquiry" and I get a blank screen. A member of the public has reported it as an issue too, they got a yahoo account page.

Thanks

Patrick

Mailto only works if you have a default mail client specified (eg Microsoft Outlook). If you only use a web mail interface, which is increasingly the norm, then it won't. It would help if the page included the email address as straight text which can be copied into the user's chosen mail interface.

I right click the link, copy and paste into my mail client to get an email address from that sort of page.

Problem is that not everyone is computer-savvy to know how to do this, so I've added a line " [if this button doesn't work for you, please email to contact@svrlive.com from your normal email client]".

I'm trying to book a member's ticket for the Spring Gala via the website, and I'm being asked for a membership number. My membership card has a three digit number prefixed with an M and a six digit number prefixed with a U. Neither of these are described as a membership number, and the website won't accept any combination. Does anyone know what number I should be entering?

Incidentally, when booking a three day ticket for the gala, I was asked which of the three days it was for. This isn't required for non-member tickets.

Thanks, Dave.

I suggest you enter the number prefixed by the 'M', but without the M.
