I thought it might be of interest to have this topic to note the movements of locos and the Northern Belle stock to and from the Railway.

As far as I know, 68023 and 68025 are on the way ready for the ecs move tomorrow morning.

68001 replaced 68023 at Crewe, so not the same pair returning tonight.

68025 leads with 68001 at the rear, seen after 68008 reverses Chiltern stock into the yard at Stourbridge.

Not easy to get a decent shot of a moving train in the dark, but 68025 is seen here:-

....and the Belle ecs move from Kidderminster to Preston today, first seen at Old Hill, then Langley Green. 57305 leading, 57312 at rear:-

Regarding comments elsewhere about the convenience of viewing photos, I could easily say - look on YouTube at:-

https://youtu.be/y82XC-EVkNY

....and photos are in my gallery, but feel it is so much more convenient to include photos in the relevant topic. Just my opinion, oh, and their not even in my blog yet - so you've seen them here first.

Then a train ride to Langley Green to see it after it left Rowley loop:-

The light engine move back to Crewe has just been cancelled, according to RTT. Does that mean the locos are staying at Kidder and maybe working the ecs move to York on Friday?

"This service was cancelled throughout due to a request by the customer (FL)."

It would make sense to cut down on loco mileage as long as they don't need refuelling.

Refueling can be undertaken in the diesel depot, presumably there would be a charge. There is petrol station type nozzle for DMU and screw for locos. It is however a smallish tank sized for filling SVR locos. Might have to top up the tank more regularly if it gets used a lot

57305/12 worked ecs to York for the trip today, via Stoke and Guide Bridge.

Return run via Derby and down the Lickey, for a reversal at Droitwich. Hope they don't make a habit of running that way, the Dark Side needs a bit of extra action. Still the same locos.

Just noticed 3 minutes early at Droitwich, then 51 late at Hartlebury. Did a supposed 10 minute reversal at Droitwich become a run to Worcester for a reversal instead?

Final edit, locos back at Crewe now.

That all matches up with what they're advertising on their web site.
It's departing Crewe on the 26th.

57312 and 57310 were the locos seen working the Belle on Friday. Filmed at Old Hill as ecs, then later in the day at Stourbridge.
