Dear 'whizzo1056', Sorry, I am unable to answer your question but would like to understand a little more please. Is the locomotive now sold or is the repair necessary before it can be offered for sale? Are we likely to see D9016 in action on the SVR.

Also, can you tell me what WNXX means?

This isn't something I've been following, but a bit of searching shows this message from the current owner.

WNXX is a railway forum https://www.wnxxforum.co.uk/index.php
You'll need to be a member to read anything there. I'm not, so I can't see the original message, although I can see it's got 7000+ members and 300+ posts in the last 24 hours, so maybe I ought to join to see what it's all about.

Another mention about the Deltics on wnxx news, the move is NOT to SVR. Oops, corrected my mistake, just noticed it..... I had put not to Crewe in error.

An update from the owner:

A figure has been agreed which I consider is a realistic amount, truly reflecting the historical value of ‘Royal Scots Grey’ and ‘Gordon Highlander’ which includes all spare parts, components and consumables. This will see both locos move to Crewe Diesel Depot over the next few weeks under the ownership of Locomotive Diesels Ltd, a division of Locomotive Services Ltd.

Well done Robin, reading your post I glanced up and spotted I'd made a mistake in my post, I meant to say not to SVR but didn't type it correctly.
