Good news for 7714, the boiler successfully passed its out of frame steam test yesterday. Work will now focus on fitting some boiler cladding before a lift into the overhauled chassis. #SVR #Pannier #GWR

Don't know, but there were people all over it today. It now has a smokebox, but they were desperately searching for the hole for the chimney! The tanks are still on the flat wagon and were receiving a coat of paint. No idea on timescales, though

The official Facebook post today continues to mention 7714 "subject to availability".

I don't know more

Patrick

EDIT: I asked. Work is proceeding and it is subject to availability

7714 was in the paint shop at Bridgnorth yesterday, keeping 813 company. Lots of shiny black paint on it now!

from http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=109

Unfortunately, we regret to announce that despite our best endeavours, Pannier Tank No. 7714 will not make a return to service at our forthcoming Season Finale Gala from November 4th - 6th. The locomotive still requires the completion of some smokebox fittings and pipework. As it will be receiving final touches, No. 7714 will not be viewable during the Gala.
