Reports on fb of 7714 failing at Bridgnorth earlier with 2857 taking AS4 (the extra train) back to KR. No news on what it failed with.

I see 2857 might replace 7714 on Friday, from SVR site (and 7714 has a line through it, but I can't copy/paste that):-

AS3 7714 2857?? S5+80972

There was a lot of steam leaking when I filmed it on Wednesday, as could be seen from my videos mentioned in a post earlier on in this topic.

By way of a reminder the SVR Social media policy says we may not talk about the reasons for failures as they are operational matters.

Aren't the directions the locomotives are facing, mainline visits, passenger numbers, late running, the running of extra trains to reduce overcrowding and the possibility, however remote, of extending the line to Ironbridge, all operational matters too.
How do you decide which ones can be discussed and which ones can't?

Of course, a good number of people on this forum are not at all bound by the social media policy, not being working members.

Edit: I cannot, in fact, find how discussing 7714's failure contravenes the policy - there is no specific restriction on discussing "operational matters" or failures. There are restrictions on "sensitive business-related matters" such as the railway's financial details, which a standard locomotive failure cannot reasonably be classed as. There are also restrictions on discussing accidents or incidents, but this is neither (taking an "incident" to be something where rules or regulations are contravened). It's also hard to believe it's confidential information, given that reasons for locomotive failures are regularly stated by people involved with the SVR's social media/online presence.
