If all goes well this weekend with 2857, will she partake in the forthcoming gala?

Thanks,

2857 is not scheduled to be used, but useful to have a spare loco for once!

2857 was replaced by 1501 today - was there a problem?

Was it though? I thought 1501 was rostered for the turn?

There's been some confusion somewhere; 1501 is down for the turn on the SVR website loco roster. 1501 completed its rostered turn today, 2857 was warming up to swap with 4566 on the diner tomorrow.

Yep on the roster for today now - but when I looked yesterday it was 2857 on 1220 ex Kiddy and return.

When I put the 'locos in use' up on the website yesterday, it said 1501 for AN1 Saturday and Sunday.
2857 is scheduled to go light engine to Bewdley tomorrow [Sunday].

Perhaps you were looking at last weeks item? 2857 was on AN1 last Saturday!
If I recall the loco roster for this week wasn't released until mid-Friday.

Just a quick update. When we returned to the shed on Friday evening, we noticed that the front row of brick arch bricks had fallen in. The engine was failed and put into the Down Yard, to be taken to BH at some point.

The 28' looked absolutely fantastic today in the sunshine. It was immaculate from the inside motion and frames to the brass work and everywhere in between, so a big thanks to whichever band of cleaners put in such a top effort.

Unusually for a Sunday there was a rather large contingent of cleaners at Bewdley, as you say everything was polished, the Brasses, Boiler and Drivers side wheels and frames being my forte for the morning Smile

I thought it looked very clean when I saw it leave Arley on Sunday, as seen in the following:-
