42968 failed with broken spring. Replaced with D8188 on 12.15 ex Bridgnorth, which left 35mins late

2.20 dep Kidderminster & 4.05 dep Bridgnorth were both pulled by diesel due to spring trouble on steam loco

5164 and 42968 now both need springs replacing - hopefully will be done before weekend

The SVR Website lists a 20xxx as hauling CS1 on 11th and 18th May.
Are 20188 and D8059 still at Washwood Heath?

Yes. Apparently some of the work is taking longer to do than anticipated.

I thought that might have been the case, thanks.

Both locomotives were known to require some quite heavy work. They are both on schedule. One will be back for the start of the main season, its is now complete bar the final coat of gloss. The other will be back in time for the October gala, if not before.

I was under the impression 20059 would return this week. But whether it has someone else will have to answer!
